Philanthropist Mackenzie Scott Awards $4.8 Million To Park DuValle Community Health Center

LOUISVILLE, KY – Park DuValle Community Health Center today announced it received a $4.8 million gift from Yield Giving, a fund established by Mackenzie Scott. The one-time donation will support Park DuValle’s growth in operations as well as a business venture that will be announced at a later date.

The 2023 Fund, led by the Chicago Community Foundation, is a donor advised fund of The Northern Trust Charitable Giving Program, a program in partnership with Mackenzie Scott’s Yield Giving Fund.

“We are incredibly grateful to Chicago Community Foundation for this generous gift,” states CEO Dr. Swannie Jett. “This monetary aid will help assist in all facets of Park DuValle’s operations as we exceed expectations in the communities and schools we serve. I hope that more philanthropist, both near and far, follow Chicago Community Foundation’s lead in identifying health centers like Park DuValle who impact the the most underserved communities in our region who have been disenfranchised the most.”
