Dr. Jett previously served as Director of Health and Human Services for Brookline, Massachusetts from 2017 to 2021, and as Health Officer/Surgeon General for Seminole County, Florida from 2013 to 2016. He previously served in Kentucky as Health Officer of the Bullitt County Health Department from 2009 to 2013.

Dr. Jett is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Rhode Island Air National Guard where his latest assignment was in Senegal, Africa assisting with the Ebola Virus Outbreak. Dr. Jett is a national leader in public health as the Past President of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO).  

Dr. Jett holds a Doctorate of Public Health with emphasis in Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine from the University of Kentucky, Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in Bio-Systems Engineering, and Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Statistics from Tennessee State University.

As CEO of Park DuValle Community Health Center, Dr. Jett is looking forward to addressing issues involving Social Determinates of Health including women’s health services, men’s health, tobacco use, and health inequities.
