LOUISVILLE, KY – Park DuValle Community Health Centers are gearing up for their seasonal flu vaccine campaign to raise awareness about the flu and to encourage to the Louisville Metro to receive their flu shot. We will be partnering with Goodwill with the efforts to keep our communities safe and protected from upcoming seasonal diseases.
“Vaccinations are an important part of modern medicine and have saved billions of lives of lives throughout the last 200 years,” states Park DuValle pharmacy director Dr. Antonio Booker. “With our population living longer than ever, it is imperative we not only protect ourselves but protect those most vulnerable to respiratory diseases, such as flu and COVID. We will offer flu and COVID vaccines at the Goodwill Opportunity Center – South Louisville.”
Each year Park DuValle Community Health Center organizes a mass vaccination initiative to protect the Louisville metro from influenza, hosting walk-in flu clinics and providing thousands of flu vaccines at no cost. This fall, PDCHC is adjusting flu clinics operations to increase capacity flow by serving the community at all PDCHC locations. The full schedule is available online at pdchc.org today. Walk-ins are welcome, but PDCHC urge the community to register in advance on their websites patient portal.
“The flu vaccine saves millions of lives each year. It is safe, very effective, and is a key factor in preventing severe outcomes, including hospitalization and death,” said Dr. Swannie Jett, Park DuValle Chief Executive Officer. Our own Dr. Swannie Jett will be in attendance at this Flu Clinic to answer any questions or concerns regarding the Flu or COVID.
