Community Self-Care Program

There is a new wellness group here at Park DuValle (Wilson location) called the Community Self Care Program hosted by Begin to Talk. The Community Self-Care Program gives people spaces to find peace, process life, and increase their self-care. Self-care is essential for people that go through consistent stress and trauma. Wellness groups are an excellent way to learn about mental health concepts that you can connect to your daily lives. They have designed groups to connect with topics that impact Black people and provide self-care alternatives and incentives. Group topics include self-care, stress, anxiety, depression, racial trauma, understanding messages, etc. Get more information at https://www.communityselfcareprogram.com

The program will be held every Tuesday and Thursday. The workshop will break into two different groups: A Space for Black Men and A Space for Black Women. The evening groups also provide childcare for their participants so spread the word!

Along with the great knowledge you will receive from attending these groups, you will also receive a self-care swag bag, catered lunch, and program incentives.
