Park DuValle Community Health Centers Visits Our Nation’s Capital

Bethesda, MD –  Hosted by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), the 2023 Policy and Issues Forum scheduled for this week (March 8-11) will draw thousands of Community Health Center advocates from around the country – including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, patients and senior executives.  Key areas of focus for the conference will be rebuilding the primary care workforce, protecting the low-cost 340B prescription drug program for patients, and ensuring equitable access to affordable health care.

The executive staff of Park DuValle Community Health Centers are in Washington, DC this week for the “P&I 2023” forum. This event is the largest gathering of health center leaders in our country.

The NACHC gathering comes on the heels of a NACHC report release showing that 100 million Americans – approximately one-third of the U.S. population – have trouble accessing primary health care.

Conference keynote speakers include Ana Navarro, GOP Strategist and Political Contributor to CNN and Telemundo, and Co-Host of ABC’s The View; and Bakari Sellers, CNN Political Analyst and Former State Representative from South Carolina.  Top health officials from the Biden Administration will also address the General Session, including Carole Johnson Administrator, Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Other conference highlights include the EXPO hall with a host of vendors from the health care industry.  There is also a full day set aside at the conference for health centers advocates to dialogue on strategies for protecting 340B.

Protect yourself against COVID-19 (coronavirus)

Protect yourself against COVID-19 (coronavirus) by covering your nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If you develop a fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as a cough or difficulty breathing, call your primary care provider.

To protect Patients and Staff we are asking:

  • All patients call before walking into the health center
  • Patients 60 years and older accept a telephone visit rather than walking into the health center for an appointment
  • Do NOT bring anyone with you to your appointment unless medically necessary

Do NOT come to the health center within your 14 day isolation/quarantine period
